Ashland Library

Kate Meyer, of the Spencer Museum of Art at the University of Kansas, presented Picturing the Dust Bowl September 1 at the Ashland Library. This presentation used paintings, photographs, and prints of the Dust Bowl as a way to explore early 20th century American attitudes toward nature and the environment, but also to provide clues about the changing expectations for the future.    Sponsored locally by the 20^th Century Club, this program was provided by the Kansas Humanities Council.
